Position: Head of Business Development (Mandarin) - FX Industry
Location: Remote, in China, Malaysia or Hong Kong

About the role.
We are looking for an experienced Head of Business Development – East Asia to drive regional growth within the forex and fintech sectors. In this leadership role, you will be responsible for expanding strategic partnerships, optimizing IB performance, and leading high-performing Business Development teams across the Chinese market while strengthening long-term partner relationships.


Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Own and drive IB performance and market growth across China, ensuring revenue, volume, and expansion targets are consistently achieved
  • Develop and execute a strategic growth plan tailored to the Chinese market, identifying opportunities, addressing challenges, and delivering measurable business outcomes
  • Lead, mentor, and inspire a team of Business Development Managers, supporting them in achieving individual targets while strengthening overall team performance
  • Define and monitor clear departmental KPIs, track performance against targets, and implement corrective actions to ensure continuous improvement and accountability
  • Identify and secure new strategic partnerships while expanding and strengthening existing partner relationships to maximise long-term value
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Customer Support, Dealing, Payments, Product, and Compliance teams to ensure alignment on initiatives impacting regional performance
  • Analyse partner performance, market trends, and key metrics to identify opportunities for growth, optimisation, and increased market share
  • Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with partners to enhance engagement, performance, and overall commercial potential
  • Use data-driven insights to inform strategic decisions, optimise operational performance, and support sustainable regional growth.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Management, Economics, or a related field
  • Fluency in both Mandarin and English, with the ability to communicate effectively in commercial, strategic, and partnership discussions
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in Business Development and Introducing Broker (IB) management within the Forex or Fintech industry, including at least 2–3 years in a leadership role managing Business Development teams
  • Proven leadership skills with experience coaching, mentoring, and developing high-performing Business Development teams
  • Strong relationship management and communication skills with the ability to conduct high-level negotiations and strategic discussions with partners and stakeholders
  • Advanced proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel for reporting, data analysis, and performance tracking
  • Solid understanding of financial markets with expertise in forex, crypto, or related trading sectors
  • Excellent negotiation, presentation, and active listening skills with a strong track record of securing and developing successful partnerships.
